I LOVE sixpoint. I've been drinking them since almost the beginning probably, a local Long Island bar (Croxley's Ale House) often has them on tap. Haven't had the Imperial Stout, but I've had Sweet Action, and Righteous Rye, and a couple of others. all awesome.

Jeremy and I stumbled on that movie on Netflix about a month or so ago. Loved it and told folks at work about it. Believe it or not, some are still convinced that the Bud Lights and the Millers of the world are "great beers". As well all know, advertising is the only thing that makes those beers sell, not the quality.

Hey Matt, I'm glad you enjoyed the review. Beer Wars is certainly an eye opening film. I knew before watching that the mega-brewers had far more pull than the "little" guys but I never knew the extent of their influence on the beer industry.

CHEERS!

Hey Scott,

Danny and I were sitting home (snowed in) with nothin to do, so we were scanning the "instant view" section of Netflix. Right away we saw Beer Wars there and I remembered seeing your blog about it, so we watched it. And it was really good! It definitely makes me appreciate having a "Dogfish" bar and restaurant right down the street, and I don't think I'll ever drink a Budweiser product again!! (Not that I do that often.)

great review of your new years with some great beers in that line up. I too brought in the new year with a can of Ten Fiddy, but getting Pliny off tap is pretty special.

What a great concept. By encouraging their fans (and consumers) to become shareholders in their brewery, they not only have a valuable source of capital, but they are also creating evangelist customers - people who will tell all their friends about the brewery they hold stock in. This is a great (if somewhat unorthodox) way of raising capital AND building consumer loyalty at the same time. What a way to kill two birds with one stone!

I'm sorry to hear that the ones you've tried have been skunked. I really enjoyed the non-skunked Bons Voeux that I had. That's a definite draw back to the green bottle.
